Safari Overview:

Our 4-day Gorilla Safari will allow you to take in all of the captivating splendour that Uganda has to offer. Arriving in Entebbe marks the beginning of Day 1, during which you will be met by our guide and driven to the hotel that you have reserved in Kampala. On day 2, you will take a domestic aircraft to Bwindi, which is the location of the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas. Either completely immerse yourself in the adventure that is the Batwa path, or relax at the lodge. The highlight of the trip is the gorilla trekking on Day 3, which takes place deep into the Bwindi woods. Discover a wide variety of animals and come face to face with these gentle giants. On day 4, you will take off from Kisoro Airstrip with memories that will stay with you for the rest of your life. The magnificent landscapes of Uganda are waiting for you.

Day 1: Entebbe/Arrival Uganda.

At the time of your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a guide from The Uganda Safari Chapter will be there to greet you. After you have cleared immigration and collected your bags, please depart the arrival area and keep an eye out for your TUSC guide. They will be carrying a signboard with your name and our logo on it. After that, you will be driven to your accommodation in the Kampala area, which might take anywhere from 35 to 45 minutes, depending on how busy the roads are.

Day 2: Domestic flight to Bwindi.

Arrive in Entebbe and make your connection to the airport for your flight to Bwindi on the second day of your four-day gorilla safari in Uganda. Kihihi airstrip is the destination for flights to Bwindi. You will get assistance throughout the check-in process for your regularly scheduled domestic flight from Entebbe airstrip to Kihihi airstrip in Bwindi national park after you arrive at the Entebbe airfield. As soon as you touch down in Kihihi, your driver or guide will be there to greet you and take you to the lodge, where you may relax for the rest of your trip. After the activity, you will be able to make your way back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Another option is for you to take part in the Batwa trail experience, which will provide you with the opportunity to observe the behaviour of the people who lived in the forest and relied on the products of the forest for their survival.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking.

Mountain Gorillas are a rare species that can only be found in Bwindi. The majority of visitors visiting Uganda agree that this is without a doubt the most memorable part of their trip. We will have breakfast, then get in the car and proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on tracking gorillas. After that, you will go on a hiking adventure that might last anywhere from one to eight hours. Only one hour will be allotted for your interaction with the gorillas. During the course of the trip, you can come across creatures and birds such as black-fronted duikers, South African porcupines, golden monkeys, huge forest hogs, bush-buck, buffalo, bush pigs, elephants, jackals, Black and white colobus monkeys, and chimpanzees. Return to the lodge for supper and accommodations for the night.

Day 4: Departure.

Day 4 marks the beginning of the end of your wonderful Gorilla Trekking journey. Today is the day when you will be flying home. Even though you will never longer be able to visit the beautiful, mist-covered woods of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or the mesmerising mountain gorillas, the memories and experiences you have had there will remain with you for the rest of your life. You will get up early and make your way to the Kisoro Airstrip so that you can take an aircraft to Entebbe on a local airline. You will get a new viewpoint of this magnificent nation thanks to the beautiful flight, which provides a bird’s eye view of Uganda’s varied topography, from the undulating hills to the glistening lakes.
